West Coast IPA
Hopped with our hand selected Mosaic from Yakima Chief and Strata from Indie Hops. This is the second batch of Lunar Ritual and we are stoked on the outcome. We decided to leave the finings out of this batch to showcase its naturally beauty. Lightly hazy, yet still West Coast through and through. All the bitterness you need, big ol’ smelly aromatics, and hop flavorful.

16oz tallboy can received courtesy of the generosity of Dimidiata.
Poured into a pseudo-ipa glass, this was a mostly clear golden amber color, with a BIG, sudsy, off-white head. As it sits in the glass, there's a very slight chill hazed after a couple minutes. Lots of lace left on the sides of the glass.
Big, thick, fruity and piney hop aroma. Seems grapefruity and piney, with a bit of berry-like sweetness thrown in.
Fruit forward flavor, with a grapefruity citrus taste leading the charge. In the background is a very faint strawberry -like sweetness. Things move to a piney bitterness at the finish, which is dry.
Medium bodied, with an oily, resiny mouth feel.
The Mosaic and Strata hops lend a brightness in the flavor that wouldn't be there in an IPA brewed back in the day, but it's awfully close to an old school WCIPA, and the ways that it differs from one are quite enjoyable as well. This is great stuff, and I regret not hitting it til now, but it doesn't seem to have suffered for it. My first from Wondrous was a real nice one. Thanks, Christine!
