Pours a dark brown that borders on black. Head is a finger of khaki foam. Aroma is roasty malts and chocolate right up front. Lager notes of biscuity, bready, and heavy wafers comes on later. It's a bold start that is tapered out by late beer lager smoothness. Flavor profile is big roasty at the onset. It segues into chocolate, bread, and biscuits late in the profile. Mouth feel is medium in thickness with a smooth creaminess throughout. Overall, clean and unaltered. It delivers heavy roasty notes to accompany its dark look, but is mellowed out well late.
