Hit With the Whiff

On draught at the brewery. Served in a tulip glass. It pours a dense, murky, muddy orange color with a half finger cap of creamy, bright white foam and thick rings of clinging lacing inside the glass. While the nose is fruity but a bit subdued, the taste bursts with tropical sweetness; ripe melon, mild orange marmalade, jammy stone fruit, lemon, grapefruit and some floral, piny notes. The Amarillo, Idaho 7 and NZ Pacific Sunrise hops really bring on the sweetness. There is little hop bitterness. Its mouth feel is very thick and creamy with lite/moderate carbonation, and it drinks surprisingly easily for 9.5% ABV. Overall, Hit With the Whiff is big, tropical, and fun to drink - a great introduction to the brewery.
