Bought from Beermiscuous, my source for Chi-land micros. For a brewer barely a year old, Dylan is a decent Wheat.
I just returned from the peninsula specializing in the American Wheat (Florida) and I think Dylan does better than most.
Dylan Looks only slightly above average (and its not a pretty style, often low on foam.) Smells are muted citrus, mostly orange. Tastes are sweet, but still balanced. Sufficient bubbles to refresh or wash down lunch. Dylan does his job. But from the drawing of him on the can, he looks scary dead... I don't want him piloting a plane I'm on.
Maybe not even having a first birthday party, First Forest is too young for a micro-review. (Besides, their website is little more than a landing site.) First Forest is in a small strip mall across from a big box home improvement store (Menards) in a town with more semis than people; a few blocks from a major railyard and a few more from Midway airport. But, people and traffic are coming through. So, I expect them to get past that second birthday... as long as Dylan isn't behind the bar.

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
