Cut the grass, not the corners on flavour.
Mow the Lawn IPA isn't your average chore companion. This session IPA bursts with juicy citrus and tropical hop bliss thanks to a triple threat: Sabro, Zythos and Pekko hops. It's light, refreshing and low in abv, so you can conquer your yard without getting knocked out.

473 mL can purchased at the Upper Thames Brewing taproom; no canning date and served slightly chilled. I mowed the lawn today, so it is legally permissible for me to drink this beer.
Pours hazy and turbid, its pale yellow-hued body crowned with an inch of lumpy, foamy white head that lingers for five minutes or so. A modest ring of lace is draped across the glass, with a frothy collar and patchy film floating upon the surface - looks great to me. Interesting aroma - it's vaguely fruity and citrusy, but there's also some herbal, grassy, slightly piney notes with a hint of sage and mint.
It tastes alright - I'm getting lemon and orange peels, as well as hints of pineapple and underripe stone fruit, all supported by a wheaty malt backbone. Finishes with an herbal, floral note and some tree bark lasting briefly into a mildly fruity aftertaste; the bitterness level is quite low. Light-ish in body, with middling carbonation and a relatively smooth, soft and fluffy mouthfeel. Super crushable, which is really all I want out of a session IPA.
Final Grade: 3.77, a B+. Mow the Lawn is the first Broken Rail brew I've had the chance to try, and I'm relatively impressed with it. The flavours are solid, but the aroma was what stood out for me - the hops they've employed are all quite aromatic and complementary with one another, which bumps what might've been an average experience up to a noteworthy, maybe even memorable one. If nothing else, it's convinced me to take a trip to St. Mary's some time and check out their selection a little more closely. Good stuff, worth a look if you see it fresh.
