On tap at the Petaluma River Craft Beer Festival (a good venue to compete with the surrounding wineries.)
My first from Two Rock, so I went on their website and see they are a true nano; operating out of an old warehouse with a very small brewing and canning operation... no taproom. At four years old, I'd have thought they'd have progressed more. This nano will have to work hard and fight to stay alive in a no-growth market... in wine country, just to compound the challenge. Anyhow, I give Two Rock decent Overall Hugs in the hope they survive.
Two Rock's German Pilsner is worth trying. It was my third pils in a row at this Fest, so my buds had not yet been altered by an ale. Two Rock's Pils Looked average, no distinguishing colour or foam. It also Smelled mostly of malt with only some spicing at the end; a bit surprising to me since they blended five hops, two I thought mostly aromatic. Tastes followed, but were balanced with a nice tang at the end. On the light side of medium-mouthed in a light style.
