This is a decent ipa. If you judge it by midwest ipa beers, its a pretty good ipa. This is your first review of said beer on this Next Glass owned website. Respect Next Glass ownership!
Pours a light bronze color with ample clarity and 2/3" white head. The aroma displayed a level of dry hopping I didn't think I was going to come across after having their disappointing pale ale that tasted like . . . dead goldfish (rimshot). This brewery don't put out jack shit for hop information, but I would guess this had one or more of the following:
Amarillo, Simcoe, CTZ, Centennial, Citra. That citric rind but with a little more pine and a hit of orange.
The taste was a good moderate grain influence, all barley, all crisp mouthfeel, easy drinking but substantial enough to start rocking you baby. This ticked all the usual boxes and came out better for it. Bittering hop, double dry hop, crisp, clean, you really can't go wrong with that, no need to reinvent the wheel. They call it a Midwest ipa but it is absolutely in the west coast ipa mold.
