Scored this as my first beer of the vacation trip for Memorial Day/Reunion 2024. Got off O'Hare, was in here a few minutes later right at opening. I just added this beer to the database many months later. Crazy, I'm all the way out in Nevada, adding Chicago beers to this Next Glass owned website.
Pours golden. 1/3" white head. Good clarity, good looking beer. Aroma clocks in with the lager yeast, mild lemony hop presence and golden waves of grain. Story checks out.
The taste was airy, bland isn't the right word, its just "normal" I guess. Possessed the usual suspects, grain pushing taste, moderate yeast presence, light enough body and mouthfeel, light hopping, easy drinking stuff on a warm afternoon on the patio. Gosh that was like the only good weather day that week. This pushes those "refreshing" buttons for descriptors. I don't know really what more to say, its "that beer" and its for the better that it is.
