This damn Wee Heavy is so good it will make a saint out of a sinner! Earthy malt greatness with a hint of smoky oak and peat. Balanced and smooth, but watch your back!

Another beer from the first stop on the Midwest 2024 Reunion trip. Fun fact: I met Danhausen later that night.
Pours a pretty ruby chesnut brown color with good clarity for a beer of such a dark natured color scheme (here in your bedroom). Sizeable head scaled up to the 3/4" beige realm. The aroma has some earthiness to it, I wouldn't go as far as saying it smelled like smoked oak, this one came off all stainless steel, sorry commercial tug job.
The taste has the brighter edge of toffee and caramel, where your average scotch ale is probably stronger and maltier, I enjoyed the slight session-ish aspect of this one both in terms of the taste and mouthfeel. Its a cleaner earthiness you could say, runs nice and smooth too. Makin' Greta proud and shit. You probably still burn coal though.
I just added this beer to this Next Glass owned database and I am also running the first review for it. You're welcome. Respect Next Glass ownership!
