Served in a 16oz pint glass at Flossmoor Station 3/1/07. Thanks to pops for the assist!

A: Nice pale gold color with a tiny, bubbly head that recedes to a faint skim in about one minute.

S: Lightly tangy fruit and some yeastiness.

T: Spicy yeast, tangy apples, sweet pears, bananas, clove, and honey. Not as funky or spicy as I like my Saisons to be.

M: Sweet, thin, and dry.

D: Drinkability is pretty good but, for a Saison, this shows a complete lack of funky horse blanket and barnyard. Not bad by any means but also not much in the way of character.

(Served in an American pint glass)

A- This beer has a warm light caramel color with a pretty clear body and a very gentle carbonation of microbubbles. There was a thick bubbly head of light tan foam that lasted for a good bit.

S- This beer has a soft tartness to the smell with green hops in the finish. The dry yeasty note in the pale malt smell also had a raw grain hint as the beer warmed.

T- This beer has a soft yeasty note with a white pepper spice to it but it is mostly bitterness in the spice. There is a smooth lemony spice in the finish with a very light sweetness. The body of this beer has a carbonic acid taste that adds a dry flavor and a slight caramel sugar hint that sweetness it.

M- This beer has a medium-full mouthfeel and the carbonation helps enhance that sensation.

D- The lemony flavor is the strongest taste and the rest of the flavors just don't seem to meld together but it is pretty drinkable.

I had a butcher of this beer at Flossmoor station. I thought it was pretty good.

This beer poured a handsome golden color with a slight amount of haziness and abundant head.

This saison's aroma is mild and a mix of yeastiness and biscuit aromas.

The taste was more of the same, with a lot of yeastiness, some isoamly acetate (banana) notes, and abundant spiciness (although I can't put my finger on just what it is). Quite good.

Mouthfeel is crisp and clean. I thought this beer was very drinkable.
