Norwegian Kveik Ale - this is a traditional farmhouse style ale resurrected from the Scandinavian brewers who are still doing it the same way as their ancestors did 1,000 years ago. We use juniper tips in the mash and ferment hot with Hornindal Kveik yeast to add notes of stone fruit and citrus to the resiny pine. A light, lively drinker for those who want to try a new adventure!

Tasted on tap at the brewer taproom in Centerville, OH. This was an interesting and unusual beer. Very light color and cloudy but with no head. The aroma and flavors were faintly spicy and herbal, but not in a way I could identify. It was not until I checked the brewery website later that I realized it was a juniper beer. There was nothing wrong with this beer, but it did not draw me in and make me want to come back for more.
