so naming beers isnt really their thing, but fortunately brewing good ones is, and while this isnt real hazy, it still drinks like a new england type, with a fuller mouthfeel owing to non barley grains in the mash, and mostly dry hopped and with low bitterness, but still being hop forward, so i dont really need it to be hazy, just unfiltered looking, but this would not visually pass as a hazy in the states. its golden and short headed, bubbly to drink through, pretty light looking really, and one of the stronger beers i saw from them, session beers are supreme here. the nose is nice and fresh, lemon and lemon candy to me, slight green onion but not bad, white florals, not a ton of depth to the hops here, pretty simple beer overall really, less fermentation forward than most of their others we had, delicate for the style, almost pale ale in some ways, at least to a seasoned american palate. the flavor has some juiciness and presents as very fresh, lemon cleaner up front with an almost coriander ester in the middle before a cleaner tangerine and canned pineapple note in the finish, just a bit of that onion element, but its only there for a flash before some of the grain washes over it. smooth and sort of protein rich, but easy and unchallenging. not one of their most impressive beers, but the bar was pretty high here. i think a little more with the hops, more bitterness, more layers, but as an exercise in simplicity in a style that can sometimes be cluttery, its good. we had a great time at their brewery!
