I had this beer on-tap in a tumbler at the brewery in Edinburgh.
Appearance: pale orange hue with a dash of haze and a finger of frothy ivory foam atop.
Smell: lightly sweet with a kind of citrusy, slightly musty hop aroma. It’s okay.
Taste: like the aroma, I find this merely okay. I don’t think the lactose adds much - this beer probably didn’t lack for sweetness and body, given the oats. The slight mustiness of the hops isn’t great either. It’s not BAD, but … it’s not my favorite.
Mouthfeel: medium body with a good level of carbonation and creaminess. Turns out when you load a beer up with oats and lactose it has a good texture!
Overall: people who like sweeter beers in general may like this, but it’s just not my speed.
