From the bottle, it pours a lightly hazy amber with a nice head. The head stays awhile as you enjoy the beer. Not a wheatbier scent or head, but still not bad, it must be the wheat variant used - emmer. Taste is also without banana, again due to the variant used - as brewed during Martin Luther's day, so the label says. It also notes a saying by Luther: "Wer kein bier hat, hat nichts zu trinken." literally "Who has no beer, has nothing to drink!" Prost!
