Fills an unbranded mug with gem clear, amber gold. One half inch of off-white foam sits atop columns of fine carbonation that drift upwards. Lacing forms a patchy coating.
The smoke is nice and mild with summer sausage up front and a distant campfire in the background. Grains are light.
The flavors are again mild smoke and grain. It is crisp with faint bitterness in equal proportion with sweetness. The finish is brief and mild. Warmth brings out lightly toasted malt that comes more into focus with greater warmth.
A medium body with the texture of slick Jersey cotton. Alcohol is as expected. Carbonation is mild and prickly.
This is an easy drinking beer with notable, yet well controlled smoke. It would easily compliment a burger or short ribs.
