Birdie Juice IPA is not your average golf beer. A smooth, juicy and hugely flavourful, yet extremely sessionable IPA is something that changes the game on the course. Our IPA is 4.2% for a light and easy drinking beer that is citrus and tropical fruit forward, with a balanced smooth body that makes this one exceptional IPA geared to the outdoors. The perfect companion if you get a birdie or need a birdie.

At my lady Pamela's house; canned and chilled, 473mL in a pint glass. From my favourite LCBO at Tecumseh Mall in nearby Windsor. My seventh beer from the Cambridge, Ontario brewery, and fifth for 2025...

Look: Pours with a strong 3 finger pillowy white head, featuring big bubbles. The head pulls back over 5 minutes leaving decent lacing and a full cover across the top. The beer is a hazy opaque light yellow.
Smell: Lemon grass dominates the smell, with a bit of earthy mustiness. The smell is subtle and becomes more muted after each sniff.
Taste: Lemon zest, up front, with a middle end dominated by dry biscuit malty flavours. Hints of butter and pepper
near the dry tart finish. It has a pale straw grassy taste that reminds me of alot of dealcoholized beers (ie, Partakes IPA)
Feel: Over carbonated. Grassy and tart on the back end. Ends with a slightly stale tart and sweet powdery finish.
Sure this is a session IPA with low ABV, so I was not expecting much, but this beer had the taste profile of any number of non-alcohol IPA's which was pretty disappointing. This beer earns a C.

473 mL can from the LCBO; no packaging date. Served slightly chilled.
Pours a foggy pale yellow colour, topped with more than an inch of tight, foamy white head that lasts for three or four minutes. An attractive ring of lace is deposited onto the glass, with a creamy collar and filmy cap lasting indefinitely - looks fine to me. The aroma is muted, consisting of grainy, wheaty malts and some grassy, vaguely lemony hops. Pretty dull nose, even for a session IPA.
It's alright - hints of lemon peel at the forefront, with grainy pale malts and a wheaty, crackery sweetness. Grassy, floral hops round out the back end, with hints of watermelon rind and citrus dissipating into a dry-ish aftertaste. Light in body, with lively carbonation that prickles the palate continuously during each sip, adding a crisp bite to this light ale's smooth mouthfeel. Effortlessly easy to drink, and actually reasonably refreshing.
Final Grade: 3.56, a B grade. Farm League's Birdie Juice is a pedestrian session IPA that doesn't instill strong feelings in me, either good or bad. Thoroughly average and forgettable - though to be fair, this is clearly meant to be a beer you stick in your golf bag, and in that context I guess I'd rather be drinking this than your typical 6 to 7% full strength IPA. On the other hand, any decent pilsner would beat them both out, but that's just like, my opinion, man. Worth a try if you're in the market for a light summer pale ale.
