Was up north at the trailer and a rainy day up there typically signals a trip to either the towns along the south Huron side of the Bruce or Owen Sound. In this case, it was Owen Sound. Restaurant is right by the bay, but kind of it a bit of a scarce area. The building is of course an old train station. The big old smoker out back tells you what their specialty is.
The menu had a lot of options and was a bit pricey, but not absurdly so because the portions and quality was solid, so I didn't feel ripped off. The beer selection was good too, with 8 different offerings from the brewery. I've had beer from here before and my experience is it's hit and miss, but the misses are typically trying something off the wall, which I can appreciate.
The service was prompt, fast and friendly. My biggest complaint is the selection of their beers to go. I do love that they are in 750ml bottles, which seem to be a dying breed in favor of cans, but the selection isn't great. That said, they do fill up growlers and howlers, which is also something some brewers seem to have stopped doing much to my chagrin.
I'd say Mudtown station is worth the stop for lunch or dinner, when you are up north and need to head into town or if you were going to catch an Owen Sound Attack game and wanted to get your brew on.

Total 4 bottles for beer to go and I bought 2 of them. Lots of choice on tap however. This could be an amazing place but it was empty today

The small city is a very decent place to visit in the summer, safe and nicely laid out. Mudtown is a prime spot, we most enjoyed it. Beer is OK, not much change in styles or even guest taps anymore.
