Brew poured to a nice dark brown color close to black with a nice off white head that broke down extremely quickly. The aromas are of chocolate, coffee and I think oatmeal but that could be because it is suppose to be an oatmeal stout.
The brew has a very nice taste, can definitely notice a sweet flavor with the hints of the chocolate and roasted coffee that was detected in the nose. The finish does have a touch of bitterness but it seemed to be a struggle to find it.
Over all it is a good brew, it is a little thin and think at one time it was heavier but that could be because my taste in brews has changed quite a bit. One that I would get again on another visit to the TP&B

Deep dark brown with a thin off-white head. Aroma is chocolate, coffee, and roastiness with a whiff of oatmeal. Appetizing.

A very very drinkable and delicious stout, but the oatmeal oiliness I like to have hit me square in the puss is a bit subdued. Slightly sweet, with hits of chocolate and coffee to go along with the subtle roastiness. The oiliness does show up a bit more as it warms (I wish they'd serve this a tetch warmer, but that's my preference). The finish is more of the same, with the addition of some hop spiciness (this brewery gets this aspect of their beers *so* right IMO) that makes me want more right now. Nice round yet not overly full mouthfeel.

this brew pub does a fantatic job at thier oatmeal stout...poured a nice black brown with a slight and thin tan head....it has a terrific malt-licious aroma and a deep choc-coffee taste that is well balanced with it's terrific bite and yet somehow remains smooth and exceptionably drinkable. definitely one of thier best brews on tap and one of the best small brew pub oatmeal stouts i've ever tasted.

Oatmeal isn't just for breakfast anymore! If you want an oatmeal stout, this is the one: chocolate and oatmeal mixed together to perfection! Robust, lightly hopped, mouth filling! Sheer heaven in a pint glass.
