Straw gold with a structured foamy white head of over a finger. The collar holds while the bulk falls to a thin covering.
Pepper, grain, hay come easy, and a swirl brings more phenols (apple) and a little bubble gum, but mainly some grassy herbs and a specifically stinging mint note.
Nicely thin, though weighing a bit more than expected fir a 5% beer. Carbonation is just on the effervescent side. The herb and mint noticed above hide in the taste, though there is a moderate pepper note in their place. A light herbal note graces the aftertaste.
Pretty straightforward and easy drinking beer that hits the notes of many a dry saison, with just a hint of complexity.
