Clear dark gold, but not quite amber, under a dense creamy white head settling to a ridged collar.
The lightly toasty malt, even featuring a hint of Brazil nut, is accented by a fine floral hop that provides minimal bitterness, while the yeast actually brings hints of strawberry and peach.
Quite drinkable, the medium body has a softly fine froth and finishes semi-dry. However, the exhale has a faint hint of yogurt or lactic acid that might be a bit concerning. I'm not sure if it's worth worrying about or if it's just the unique combo of the yeast and hops, but overall 42 has far more expression than a pils-inspired blonde ale, that's for sure.
