Poured from 500mL bottle into my 8th Wonder chalice. No date on the bottle, but I bought it about two weeks ago at the brewery.
Appearance: rich amber hue with a dash of haze and a thick head of frothy ivory foam with just a hint of amber cast. Nice.
Smell: quite yeasty, with a sweetish, toasty, biscuity malt underneath. Not too bad.
Taste: very biscuity malt with a bit of toasty character on the side; there’s a fair amount of yeastiness here too. Bitterness is moderate. It’s perhaps not objectively bad, but man, I can’t get past all the biscuitiness here.
Mouthfeel: medium body with a good carbonation and creaminess.
Overall: like I said, not a bad beer per se, but not particuarly suited to my tastes.
