This heady, sparkling, amber ale was aged in oak for a handful of months with carrot seeds and blended with a hop and cascara tea before being finished with a tincture of fresh Eucalyptus from Marin County. Subtly tart with complex herbal notes and a slight bitter backbone.

Poured from 12oz can into a tulip. No date on can but it appears from the brewery's release info that it's not more than 5-6 weeks old.
Appearance: medium golden hue with a moderate haze and a thick finger of frothy ivory foam atop. Pretty!
Smell: a bit tart and quite oaky, with a definite hint of that eucalyptus. This is a very fascinating and unique aroma; I like it quite a lot indeed!
Taste: oaky, tart, a bit sweet, astringent, and just a a bit funky. The literature for this beer calls it an "amber ale" but it's definitely a wild ale type of beer. This is like a good, oaky saison with a bizarre set of adjuncts creating a very unique experience. I like it a lot!
Mouthfeel: medium body with a decently high carbonation and a moderate creaminess. Not bad.
Overall: I admit that it's the novelty factor winning me over here, but I am enjoying the heck out of this beer.
