Helles-style lager brewed with a dash of beechwood smoked malt, bringing a sweet smoke flavor that blends in nicely with the soft malt and hop character of the base beer. Very food friendly and shockingly easy to drink!

I had this beer on-tap at the brewery in a straight-sided glass.
Appearance: light golden hue with a tiny, tiny dash of haze and a finger of frothy white foam.
Smell: sweet malt, a little astringent smoke, and some yeast aroma you’d expect from a craft lager. It’s good!
Taste: sweet malt with a bit of lagery yeastiness and a light-ish but definitely present amount of smoke. Smoke novices might say it is very smoky, but this is not like Aecht Shlenkerla or anything. It’s a solid smoked beer.
Mouthfeel: medium body with a really good level of carbonation and creaminess. Very nice.
Overall: a really nice and drinkable smoked lager. Not over the top, but definitely smoky and balanced and quite quaffable.
