a delicious grapefruit hazy, works on a number of levels and is better than most other examples of the style, and there are a fair few grapefruit hazy types out there now, hard or have an original idea these days i guess. this is just a little deeper and thicker looking than i like, but its not sloppy either, and very lively from the tap, frothy lasting white head on it. the nose here is natural grapefruit, acidic and bitter, like a fresh sliced white grapefruit actually comes to mind, and the chosen hops seems to have a grapefruit vibe as well, so they work amazingly well together. i get oily zest, bitter pith, and juicy sweet and sour flesh, some light greenness to the hops, a little pine too, a hint of tangerine, and then the dry earthy malt. its not brilliantly clean in the ferment and it should be, but the smartness of the these hops and the grapefruit makes it cool, i like there being a little acidity to it, makes it more authentically fruity and cuts some of the starchy body, and overall this is fresh, unique in a samey style, and quite tasty. they are still new here, im sure still getting things dialed in, so this will likely improve, but its awful good for a place that just opened up, majorly cohesive.
