unique berliner here, authentic in its base, cleanly soured, not too acidic, wheat forward, and dosed with pineapple, very cool flavor mix here, summery, different. its cool how traditional the berliner is, its immediately evident that it would stand on its own without the fruit and the dry hop, earthy and light and just tart, lemony, clean. there isnt much head on it from the tap, and carbonation is a little light for the style but thats really my only critique. the pineapple smells and tastes great, rather natural, not forced, not too sweet, it works great with the wheat, and is there from start to finish. the dry hop is soft, citra evident, and fully compatible, nicely proportioned. makes this extra juicy without losing the base beer. i like the mineral profile, the modest acid, and the overall drinkability despite the relative lack of carbonation. this warms up favorably, and to me sets the stage for a cool series if they want to switch up the fruit and hops from batch to batch, tons of combinations would work here! hard to make classic styles modern like this in a flattering way but they nailed it.
