nice light, low alcohol, rather clear and refined fresh hop ipa, done with hops grown a handful of blocks from the brewery apparently, some C type varietals it seems, although i dont know for sure, pine and pithy bitter oily citrus, almost in the pale ale range with low bitterness and a little malt balance to it, but a super clean ferment, and really overall this is pretty nicely refined, flavorful, and fresh, best hoppy offering i have had from garland to date. there is nothing in the ferment at all, which not only makes the hops pop, but makes this their cleanest beer so far, easily as far as i am concerned. i get wet pine needles, mowed lawn, and pink grapefruit when i am being positive, a little green onion, bread dough, and bite when i am not, but this works, its fresh as can be, the hops reflect not only the region but the neighborhood which you rarely see, plus its just as drinkable as can be. i am pleased with the direction these guys seem to be moving in, the space is great, the beer is coming along, and the use of these hyper local hops makes this a lot of fun. get in and get some before its gone, there cannot be that much of it...
