excellent example of the style, not quite german authenticity, but real well done, sweet in the right place, dead center of this, pretty rusty orange to amber colored and heady from the tap at the source, some decent hop bitterness late on the back end for balance, noble it seems, this is bold, but it works. nutty and sweet in a toffee sort of way, biscuit and honey, toasted peanut and almonds, very robust lager yeast, minerals and bread and dough at the same time and the layers here come one at a time. im not saying this is all time or anything, but it very steady, its cool that the hops start a little earlier than in a lot of these, but never get to a leading place, always in support of the grain. the body is fuller but its dry enough to want to keep ripping them. perhaps a little more aftertaste in general than it needs, but this is very good and its one of the better beers i have had in here so far, these guys are already evolving pretty quickly, get in here and try some beers if you havent yet. fine example of the style here.
