I had this beer on-tap in a tumbler glass at the brewery.

Appearance: rich dark brown with nice ruby highlights and a finger of tan foam atop.

Smell: a bit sweet and rather malty. Not super complex, but nice.

Taste: lightly sweet and ever so slightly astringent; there are good caramel and toffee notes here.

Mouthfeel: light body with a good carbonation and decent creaminess.

Overall: a pretty solid dark mild, and super quenching on this hot Spokane day.

To me, this tasted more like a schwartzbier than a dark mild, but still quite good. I was looking for a low impact beer with lots of flavor and it didn't disappoint.
