Amber color with bright clarity, momentary foam that fades to nothing.
Smells like roasted barley and specialty malt. Old school and simple.
Taste is similar, it reminds me of a 90’s brewpub beer. Caramel malt and roasted barley, with a somewhat bitter finish, vague earthy hops lend tea flavors. Lighter bodied, mild carbonation, lightly astringent. Overall one and done. Not sure who this beer really appeals to, amber ales are becoming rapidly extinct. Same goes for the cheesy pinup label, it also feels decades out of style at this point.
