This is one of those beers the BA does not have a clear style that matches what the brewers intended. I asked the brewers and they were kind enough to supply some very interesting information, but no definitive style declaration that fits with BA styles. So I am calling it a Farmhouse saison.
From the information received, the beer is a Norwegian farmhouse ale that appears to be of the Vossaøl tradition with kveik yeast and juniper infusion. In any event, it is a tasty beer!
I had this beer from tap at the brewery poured into a half pint glass. Slightly hazy golden yellow color with thin head and lacing. Sweet fruit smell and taste. Herbal and floral notes with juniper with sweet apricots and sweet apples. Slightly boozy as it warms a bit with white grape flavors. Rustic, herbal full feel. It is always fun to find unusual beers like this.
It is a Pink Boots collaboration with Fitzhugh.
