Poured from freshly-filled crowler into a dimpled mug. They brand this as a "Dry-Hopped Table Beer", but I got a little bit of saison character out of it so that's what I entered it as.
Appearance: light yellow hue with lots of haze and two fingers of frothy white foam atop. Quite good!
Smell: soft, lightly sweet malt, with an herbal but fresh hop aroma that is balanced and enticing.
Taste: like the aroma, there's a soft, sweet malty character with perhaps a bit of a wheaty note. The hop character is a bit herbal, like in the aroma, and the bitterness is low but balanced with the relative lightness of the malt. There is just a hint of what might be a little farmhouse character; just a little hint. I like it.
Mouthfeel: medium-light body with a good level of carbonation and a nicely smooth, refreshing creaminess, especially given the low ABV.
Overall: here's the beer's incredible strong suit. It's massively drinkable, and I just want to quaff quart after quart of it.
