a hazy rye ipa, a little bit lacking in overall refinement but very solid overall, a little rye spice in place of softer wheat or oats, not in full, but in part, so this drinks a little more uniquely than a lot of hazy types because of the rye in its foundation, i dig that, but its subtle and i could use more of it in here, higher rye in the mash would be cool, but i like that this would be agreeable to most hoppy beer audiences too, they are a pizza place too after all. very pale, orange juice looking, lighter but equally dense and saturated, average soapy looking white head. it smells and taste simple on the hop side, familiar, mosaic maybe, a little white pine lumber and spruce like you might get from centennial, i do not know what they use in here, bitterness is low, juiciness and herbaceous character high, and some cool nuances of mint or something, yellow peach, and light pepper character. overall very nice, fuller bodied than it needs to be, but the rye comes through the dry hop at the end and this has cool depth to it. in the top couple of beers i had in here, cool new spot worth checking out!
