I have to admit that I'm not drinking the freshest of cans of this beer. It looks and smells very style appropriate but the flavor is a tad too sweet in my opinion. I can't quite tell if this is by design or due to the age of the can. Either way, I think it's a great lager to enjoy.

This isn't what I would consider a Pilsner, but it is a very good interesting light lager.
It pours a hazy straw gold, with a thin quickly fading head.
The aroma is unique.
Lemony, & fruity with some wheat or grain.
It has a flavor profile that I can't put my finger on, reminds me of Angelica root, but could be anything.
It has a light fruitiness to it, and a faint perfume of meadowsweet or something herbal.
All in all, it's a very enjoyable beer, just not what I would look for in a Pilsner.

Poured into a Seattle Beer Week pint glass. Pours a light to medium golden amber with a three finger white head that dissipates slowly to a thick cap with nice lacing. Distinct fruity character on opening the can and pouring; unexpected for a pilsner, but inviting. Flavor is pale lager malt, pear juice and mild honey. Lingering malty pear juice finish with mild hop bitterness. Medium bodied with light to moderate creaminess. Well, this one was unexpected. It is not a pilsner by any definition I know, except it tastes and feels like lager malt. The pear fruit flavor is quite nice and after just a brief "pilsner?, wait a minute" reaction on first taste, I really liked this beer almost immediately. I'd say the profile is mostly like an American blonde ale, with pleasant light malt and fruit notes. I'm guessing the pear is an adjunct because this is relatively lightly hopped so that is an unlikely source of the pear flavor. Looks, smells and tastes like a fruited blonde ale and a very enjoyable one at that. I'm going to have to rate this for enjoyment rather than style, so I'm going to be an outlier on this one. Not for those looking for a traditional pilsner, though. I'd like to try something else from them to see how far this serendipity goes.

Undated can; drank 3/4/24 @ the Yarchives.
See-through pale yellow appearance.
A rough pour yielded a big bright white head; strong tree-rung lacing remained.
Lemon candy & soft wheat notes in the nose.
Medium mouthfeel.
Lemon candy & soft wheat flavors.
I swear they put some lemon flavoring in here; it was pretty sweet & reminded me of a lemon drop. It wasn't bad, per se, but tasted quite odd.

Definitely not a pilsner but I like it a lot more than the last reviewer. It more like a full-bodied red ale. A little cream, a little funk. Better than a Sam Adams.

I am fan of pilsner, and have consumed and reviewed many, and I wanted to like this beer. I selected it at the store hoping the high price ($15/4-pack where others I know to be good were $10-$12) would deliver a fine pilsner drinking experience. I was dead wrong. This is one of the worst beers I have ever had. I had a couple sips, gave it a chance, and my partner was here and she tried it and winced and said, "That's disgusting." I cannot describe how difficult it is to drink this. I have not done this in years but I poured this one down the drain after a total of 4 sips. I tried to have an open mind or adjust to it, but it is undrinkable. It tastes like bitter herbs, medicine, chemicals, cough syrup, aftershave/cologne, crushed pills - just an indescribably bad flavor. Bathroom cleaner? Fermenting or rotting berries of some kind? Not comparable to normal flavors, because anything tasting like this would only be food or consumed under last chance survival circumstances. I think there must be something wrong as no human could brew this, taste it, and think it should be sold to the public? I am actually shocked at this beer, and that has never happened to me before. There is something - or a few different things - in this beer that should not be there. I would suffer many forms of punishment to avoid drinking this. I really think there has been some mistake? A failed experiment of some kind? Absolutely bar none the strangest, oddest tasting beer drinking experience I have ever had. This beer is a mystery, a mistake, an atrocity. I plan to call the store and at least let them know they may not want this on their shelves. If you want to taste this you will find out - but I would highly recommend against doing that. I am down $16 after tax and not happy.
