not sure why such an unappealing name for such a downright delightful brew. an ube and lime grisette with the usual wild yeasty funky these guys bring, still one of the more exciting and unsung breweries around, i mean who else anywhere near here is making funky beer with ube? nobody, thats who. this is fun stuff, appreciably light and effervescent from the tap, a lot more lime than ube but its there, zesty citrus and some acidity to it, refreshing and quenching, simple it seems on the grain side, but balanced overall, even without any appreciable hops. i thought the ube might color this more, ive had a few beers with it now over the years and i dont recall any of them being like, electric purple, this is tinted without being overly dramatic, light haze, lots of bubbly head almost hard to control from the tap it looks like. aroma and flavor are natural lime, a little pithy bitterness with the essential oily realness, ube is identifiable too which i think is neat, i wonder how and when it was added to this, great with the lime and what must be some wheat in here. as always though, its the ferment that gets me, this is bretty and funky, tart like a its mixed culture, a light saison ester, even a spicy wrinkle, absolutely bone dry, effervescent, a joy to drink, and for being a weird ingredient beer, its something i would have a half dozen of easily. still no fanfare for this operation, but there should be, this is inventive and rustic and awesome!

On tap at NABA 2025. Muddy violet pour, a few stray bubbles. Aroma is sweet and tart, lime, fruity. Taste is fruity, and since I've had ube before, I recognize the taste. Earthy, tart, lime peel
