Bringing a sensible and proper balance to the beer community but still using new and exciting hop flavors shows the Scout & Scholar Brewing is on brand.
So what else should they call it? Pouring a bright and lemony gold color, On Brand teems with bubbles to fuel a cottony white froth and a creamy, sweet, floral and citrusy scent. Candied and sweet, a soft and dry cereal character greets the tongue in a medium and moderate way.
As the hops of Azacca and Sabro swirl on the tongue, the flavors shift from floral to fruity with stronger suggestions of lemon, white grapefruit, apricot and passionfruit. All wrapped in a creamy vanilla-like softness and a honeydew juiciness, the rounded ale slowly shift bitter with a smooth and herbal cedar and tea leaf finish.
Medium bodied, creamy and starting plump with malt, the ale dries wonderfully to highlight the unique hop contributions and to refresh the palate with minty dryness.
