Rarely does a stateside Wit stand out and demand attention, but this one does. Very light and agile, with a unique New Zealand hop character lending some tropical Summer vibes. All the more ironic to drink it during a Fall thunderstorm, I guess.
Pale gold, bright clarity until the stubborn sediment is roused and added to the glass. Coconut, clove, white pepper aromas. Clean and smooth, vaguely phenolic, coconut, wheat, tropical fruit pulp, very light bodied, finishes dry. Don’t get much orange peel and coriander, i’d guess this is more of a NZ-hopped American Pale Wheat Ale. Really easy drinking and unique, nice stuff.
