Clear and dark color, very near black, with adequate foam in the chalice. Medium body. Aroma of dark and deeply roasted malt. Flavors of charred grain with a slight malty sweetness and a hint of caramel. Some faint sourness and a winey aftertaste. Clean and quaffable. From the 32 oz growler filled at the brewpub in Stanwood.
