Canned 10/19/23; drank 4/14/24 @ the Yarchives.
Semi-opaque red/orange appearance.
A rough pour yielded a nice khaki head; a thick curtain of lacing remained.
Caramel, rye & faint wood notes in the nose.
Creamy medium mouthfeel.
Caramel & cream flavors up front; mild rye & faint dry cherry wood notes on the finish.
Sweet n' dry, so balanced. The sweetness is a touch too much, but it's good overall.

Pours a pale red to gold at the edges of my glass. Puffy, plentiful head which settles down to a thin layer. A bit sweet but balanced, with a quite smooth mouthfeel. A tiny bit sour in the aftertaste. I love this beer!

Part of a flight at Pilot Project. I might feel better if I had drunk this in late autumn instead of the approaching dead of mid-winter. I am a fan of Funkytown's Gym Shoes Weather and their brewing skill, in general, and their tendency to stay within the style and not get extreme.
So, Cuffin Season is decent; just not worth a repeat this year. It Looks an amber ruby red and sports a nice head that leaves some lace around. (I also give points for FB's can graphics improving, as I can read the copy and it tells a good story.) Smells are mostly malt; fruity, as this is a low IBU beer. Tastes balance malty, nutty and toasty; just not specific. Bubbly but contained.
2/6/24 I put off a re-taste for after Ground Hog Day '24 and I probably shouldn't have waited. Either this is a much improved re-release or I was hard on the '22 review. Anyhow, I'm enjoying this copy and edited the above and upped my rating. I should go over to PP and buy a 4-pack. Even with global warming, Chicago still has long winters.

Reddish amber, slow rising carb trails, huge billowing head of tan foam, spotty lacing. Toasty malt aroma, mild caramelized sugars.
Smooth and mellow, malt forward, toasty and nutty. Fairly dry with some mild hop bitterness in the finish. Lighter side of medium bodied, supple carb level. Overall it’s pretty good. Seems like an odd style to kick off with, but a decent enough Fall seasonal.
