After the second World War, our allies across the pond were about done with low the quality of the current British mild ales and craved something more palatable. This Extra Special Bitter was brewed with multiple varieties of English hops for complexity and crystal malts to produce a true to style ESB with caramel malt notes and fermented as a slightly higher temperature to enhance the fruity esters. Not too Malty and not too bitter this ESB checks all the boxes.
