This one was titled at Beehive Honey lager, but I am assuming it is the same as the above...

A: Light yellow color with a small head of white foam. Minor lacing inside the glass. Medium to medium low levels of carbonation.

S: Smells like roasted malts, grain and honey had a three-some. this is the result.

T: Light honey flavor over roasted caramel malts. Lots of toasty tones on this one. Minor hints of hops are otherwise drowned out by the strong firey character of this beer.

M: Nominal. Minor notes of carbonation. Slightly slick and sticky. Mostly watery and refreshing.

D: Not bad. I've had far better honey lagers from Canada.

Notes: Special thanks to biegaman for the sample.

Poured a pale yellow, with a fluffy head which laced out after about 10 minutes. Fairly plain label on a plain, standard, brown bottle. The colouration reminds me of a light IPA; accented by a white head.

The honey at first taste is intriguingly apparent, and finishes very well. The sweetness of the honey lowers the acidity of the beer, and allows for easier drinking. The mouthfeel is quite pleasant considering the slightly over-carbonation of the brew. Overall, a good brew to take with you on those hot summer days on the patio.

Came in a standard Canuck long neck brown pint bottle with twist-off crown. No freshness date. The Brewer told me it was good for a year in chilled conditions.

Poured a slightly cloudy gold-light amber with a decent chunky cap that lasted about 10 min. then laced out.

Subtle hints of sweet malts, clover honey and grains with an ever so slight hint of flowery hops.

Starts with a tang of effervescence on the tongue then builds to a medium-light body accented with detectable maltiness and a pleasant residual honey pronouncement...then the let down... the finish is rather thin and uneventful with a slight hop bittering but the overpowering accent is a sour mash type of taste that mingles with the weakish hop bitters and stays on the tongue long after the brew has gone down.

This is an odd one. Looks good, smells promising, starts pleasantly enough but finishes with some tastes that don't seem to complement each other... nor do they seem right in a quality brew.
This may be to some other's tastes but I didn't like the mingled hop bitterness combined with the sour malt taste at the end....not my type of brew but good for a change. I won't cry if Wellington takes it out of production.
