473 mL can from the LCBO - one of four brews in Wellington's Vol 10 mixed pack, three of which are new. Dated Mar 10 2021 and served slightly chilled.

Pours hazy and translucent, its light golden-hued body crowned with nearly one finger of soapy, frothy white head that fades within a matter of minutes. It leaves behind a decent spattering of lace, as well as a creamy-looking collar surrounding a filmy-thin cap - looks good to me, but the nose is not particularly memorable. I'm getting hints of brine, lemon, lactic funk and crackery wheat... the pineapple is there too, but it's rather subdued.

A respectable gose - quite sharp at the forefront, with lots of lactic acidity combining together with lemon and pineapple, as well as a subtly bready, wheaty background sweetness. Hints of coriander crop up nearer the finish, which is tart and a little bit salty; the sip concludes with pineapple and lactic sourness echoing on, into the aftertaste. Light-medium in body, with moderate carbonation levels that spritz up the mouthfeel somewhat; still, it kind of adheres to the tongue, resulting in a smooth, slightly slimy texture. I polished off my serving easily enough, but felt no need for a top-up.

Final Grade: 3.84, a B+. I liked Wellington's Pinwheel well enough... I suppose a little more pineapple would've been nice, but it meets most of the expectations I have for this style, in that it's sour and a little salty, with a clean wheat malt backbone and a touch of coriander. Drinkable enough, and I enjoyed my glass, but at the end of the day it's not much better than most of its Ontario competitors. A decent inclusion in this mixed pack; I could've done much worse for my 2500th tick.
