473 mL can from the LCBO, included in Wellington's latest Bootique mix pack. Dated Oct 2 2023 and served slightly chilled.
Pours hazy and translucent, its pale golden-hued body supporting more than an inch of fluffy, foamy, sparkling white head. It withers and wilts within the next five minutes or so, coating the glass with a delicate layer of messy lace as it's reduced to a sudsy cap and frothy collar. Fruity, citrus-heavy aroma: I'm getting lemon, grapefruit and lime peel, as well as hints of passion fruit, gooseberry and floral hops.
It's alright - I'm tasting grapefruit, lemon and passion fruit at the forefront, with notes of wheaty, grainy pale malts and flaked oat sweetness also coming through. Suggestions of berries and melon, with floral, spicy hops and mild earthy bitterness rounding out the back end; fruity aftertaste that fades to off-dry. Medium in body, with relatively low carbonation that gently agitates the surface of the tongue; feels soft and smooth in the mouth. Fair drinkability - polishing off one can is easy, but I don't really want another.
Final Grade: 3.67, a B grade. Wellington's Stitch in Time is a serviceable DDH IPA, but there's nothing remarkable about it. There is an argument to be made for calling this a NEIPA: its low bitterness, high haziness, fluffy mouthfeel and fruity bouquet/flavour profile all seem to point in that direction, but I don't really have a strong opinion either way. Even if I concede that it's an NEIPA, it's still not juicy enough to be a really good example of one. I could take it or leave it - I'm leaning towards the latter, because I'd really rather be drinking their Upside IPA... which, fortunately for me, was also included in this mixed sixer.

I bought a can at the LCBO in Ontario 473ml at 5.8%.
Poured into glass with a 2 finger head leaving a lace as you drink it.
Lots of citrus and tropical fruit flavours smooth and very enjoyable to drink .
Overall this IPA is very good
Cheers.

473 ml can served cold into a pint glass. Canned October 26, 2022.
Appearance - Reasonably hazy rather pale golden brew. A finger plus of white head rests on top of the beer and recedes fairly quickly.
Smell - Lots of nice little tropical notes. I get a mango, pineapple and lemon combo but it's reasonably subdued. Some graininess in the background.
Taste - A lighter spritzy IPA, Some grain flavors that lean towards bready, little pops of lemon and perhaps pineapple and mango in combination. Intensity is fairly low as far as IPA's go.
Mouthfeel - Medium bodied, spritzy and seemingly a little gassy. Finish is semi-dry.
Overall - Decent IPA, that has higher ABV than the flavors and feel would suggest. Blurs the line with a standard American pale ale. Worth a tipple but don't expect to be blown away.

Pours a very pale straw colour with a thin whispy head on top. A bit bitter and grainy on the nose. Again bitter on the taste with floral and grassy notes.
