At my lady Pamela's house; canned and chilled, 473mL in a pint glass. From my favourite LCBO at Tecumseh Mall in nearby Windsor. Canned February 24/25. My fourth beer from the Guelph, Ontario brewery, and third for 2025. Endorsed by Gracie the cat...

473 mL can from the LCBO; dated Feb 24 2025 and served slightly chilled.
Pours a hazy pale golden-yellow colour, stirring up one finger of soapy, sudsy white head that falls apart within a couple of minutes. A thin collar and cap live on, with a ring of lace produced after each sip; looks good, but the aroma is quite restrained. Floral hops, mandarin orange, white wine and wheat on the nose.
It tastes fine - I'm getting grapefruit, orange and indeterminate tropical fruits, with wheaty, bready malts, white grape and floral hops coming through by mid-sip. Hints of grape skin tannin and citrus peel on the back end, both of which linger into a weakly fruity aftertaste that trends off-dry. Medium in body, with assertive carbonation that remains crisp and lively throughout the session; smooth, satisfying mouthfeel with pretty good drinkability.
Final Grade: 3.74, a passable B grade. Although Wellington has certainly improved their IPA brewing techniques over the last decade, this brewery has never been a leader or an innovator in that field - and Queen of Craft IPA 2025 shows that there's still plenty of room for improvement. I preferred last year's Nectaron variant, and I would take Wellington's Upside IPA over this any day of the week. Still, the Nelson Sauvin hops do strut their stuff effectively on the back end, and I would say this is worth a try if you have an appreciation for that particular hop variety.
