this tiny little place is rad, and they dont call this an imperial oktoberfest, but at this strength that is precisely what it is. i cannot believe its so strong either, like they had to have the menu wrong right? its crisp even, medium bodied max, and full flavored without being sweet, alcoholic tasting, or heavy feeling, and just really well made overall. you just never know what youre going to get with these small town breweries most of the time, but this place punches well above its weight, and i was pretty impressed with both beers i had in here, the quality is there. this is toasted and nutty to me, not as sweet as a lot of them, maybe somewhat less european tasting on the grain side, but still real traditional. i get a tasty honey wrinkle to it, a baked warmth, and a good german lager yeast strain there at the end. its got nice balance too, just enough hops on the finish, light spiciness there, and all tasting extremely fresh to me. never really had a strong oktoberfest like this, its familiar just more sturdy and robust, nicely done! check this place out if you are in the area, really tasty beers in here!
