Poured from 330mL Belgian style stubby bottle into my Belvárosi sörfesztivál tulip. Best by 12/7/24.
Appearance: medium golden hue with a little dash of haze and a finger of forthy ivory foam that dissipated pretty quickly.
Smell: sweet, with that tart, vinous quality that beers brewed with wine grape juice have. I don’t dislike it.
Taste: a bit malty with a little bit of that grape flavor but it’s pretty well fermented out. It’s just got kind of a general sweetness, and about the character of a blonde ale. It’s not bad, but it’s not mega interesting; some of that vinous bite from the aroma would be really welcome here.
Mouthfeel: medium body with a decent carbonation and creaminess.
Overall: it’s a decent enough beer, but more like a nice honey blonde ale or something like that. I would like a bit more character from the grapes.
