Gone Camping
Little Willow Brewing Comp...
IPA - Imperial / Double New
NewZilla hop?? There is a dank, highly saturated, thick, fruity hop flavor that is miles deep. Heavy, smooth and silky feel. Tangy green hop nose with papaya, cantaloupe and citrus all over the place Can Little Willow do anything wrong?
Purchased at Smoke N Barley, Epsom

Fully opaque OJ yellow-orange with a lumpy off-white head of moderately short height.
Juicy, dank, and thick, it's perhaps a little musty, but pretty tasty, much more so than the 4x Dragonsaddle.

8/19/25. Poured into a Samuel Adams Perfect Pint.
A: Opaque apricot hue with 2-finger frothy white head with good retention and copious lacing.
S: Earthy dank thread runs through with some peach, mango, and red grapefruit
T: The earthy dank, herbal note dominates in the flavor with some accents of red grapefruit, pineapple, and peach. Esters are mid-range and fruity. Bitterness is low.
M: Feel has medium-body with lowish carbonation and full finish.
O: This beer is not my favorite Little Willow beer by a long ways, but it is still enjoyable when you are looking for something herbal, earthy, and dank in the NEIPA package.

I love Little Willow but this is not one of my favorites. Definitely feel like taste is blah, very muted. Nothing pops cant even get a little hop burn.

Smooth, good mouth feel. Not overly floral. Solid IPA, but a notch below the standard top brews, for me.

Canning date not legible but believed to be relatively fresh. From the label: “Gone Camping is a Double Dry Hopped Double New England IPA hopped with NewZilla and Citra. Look for notes of tropical fruit, citrus and apricot.” A very nice NEDIPA. Smooth mouthfeel and finish.

From a fresh can, pours a very hazy light yellow-gold tinged with green. Smell features sharp papaya, candied fruit, green vegetation and a bit of resin. Taste follows. Full, smooth feel with a touch of bitterness in the finish. Top-tier NEIPA.
