An imperial IPA rising with Lupomax Citra, Centennial, and CTZ bringing layers of bright citrus zest, resinous pine, dank depth, and a little punch of grapefruit bitterness that keeps everything in line. Big aroma, bold flavor, no wasted space.
If you know, you know. The Crimson Pillar isn't just a name, it's a nod to that glowing, otherworldly beacon hidden deep below the surface. Ancient. Powerful. Slightly ominous. This beer carries that same energy: towering, intense, and rewarding to those who seek it out.
Approach with curiosity.

From a 4-pack picked up at the source in Missoula, MT
16oz can poured into Steeplejack pint
P pours a moderately clear caramel color w/ just about 1f of white head; super thick lace coats the glass
N med nose of caramel malt, candied grapefruit, and floral notes
T smooth caramel malt gives way to grapefruit and pine in the finish; med bitterness; light-med heat; very nice- assertive, yet flavorful and satisfying
Mf med to med-full bodied w/ med carb; lightly creamy forward; finish coats a bit; perfect for the profile
O an excellent DIPA; these guys are crushing it lately, imo

Canned on: ?????
Many thx to muchloveforhops3 for this can!
A - Dark gold with nice clarity and moderate carbonation and dense, soapy lacing.
S - Light malt with sticky grapefruit, citrus over top.
T - Sticky malt base with grapefruit and resiny pine. Ends with some sticky pine bitterness, a little bit of grapefruit resin, and s slight sugary aftertaste.
M - Thick body for a D-IPA with prickly carbonation fighting through the liquid.
O - A solid D-IPA.
