440ml from Lidl (£1.79):
Bright, deep golden with a 1cm, foamy white head that holds well & looks thick on top. The nose floral with touches of yeast, apple, pear & a subtle honey sweetness with peppery spices to close. It's more of a bitter taste with earthy malts & biscuit, the floral & grassy touches are still there with plenty of citrus too. The palate is sharp & quite dry with a lively tang then an earthy bitterness rounding things off; it's a little one dimensional & overly bitter though with no real saison type flavours save for the yeast at the start.
