Petrichor is named for the smell of a fresh spring rain, and is released around the vernal equinox. Brewing this beer with a considerable amount of rye gives it a bit of grainy and spicy malt flavor. Late-hopped in the whirlpool with Amarillo and Saaz, and dry-hopped with Styrian Golding creates a fruity, herbal bouquet reminiscent of our Pale Ale. Adding raw Ohio wildflower honey straight into fermentation accentuates this beer's floral and herbal notes and leads to a dry, snappy finish.
