L: cola colored ale with a frothy tan head
S: roast, cola, caramel, pine
T: roasted barley, caramel, cola, dank, citrus, pine
F: medium body, ample carbonation, bitter finish with pine and roast lingering
O: good black IPA as expected

Poured into a tulip ~1 month after can date. Deep, dark brown with decent tan lacing. Smell is all roasted, sweet malts. Taste is malty, hop bitterness and surprisingly alcohol burn. Aftertaste is dominated on the burn, which diminishes its appeal.
